1. Showcase diverse cross-cultural dances, music, food, and rituals that welcome a baby into the world.

2. Celebrate the heroism inherent in motherhood and honor the memory of those who have lost their lives during childbirth.

3. Raise awareness about the ongoing challenges in maternal healthcare, particularly in developing countries where childbirth complications are still a significant cause of death.

• Tragically, many women still succumb to childbirth complications. The festival seeks to bring attention to this issue, citing United Nations and World Health Organization statistics on maternal mortality.

• The celebration of childbirth reflects a triumph over adversity and is marked by various ceremonies such as baby warming, baby showers, and naming ceremonies.
